Three Unique Cottages
Villa Adalbert has three cottages, each decorated with a different theme. All include air conditioning, a private bathroom, a minibar, and a flat-screen TV. Some cottages offer a patio with a hammock and swing chair. Rooms overlook the garden or pool.
Gourmet Breakfast Daily
Breakfast is served each morning with fresh eggs from the resident chickens and produce from the garden. Choices include continental, Italian, and full English/Irish. Mario also prepares homemade deli products available for purchase. The breakfast is presented beautifully and can be eaten on the terrace or in the garden.
Leisure
The property has a heated outdoor swimming pool with views of the mountains. A sun terrace with loungers and umbrellas surrounds the pool. There is also a pool bar and an outdoor fireplace. The gardens are filled with lavender, herbs, and vegetables, with seating areas throughout.
Location
The guesthouse is in a quiet area of Somerset West, 32 km from Cape Town International Airport. Helderberg Village Golf Club is 7 km away, and the Stellenbosch wine route is nearby. Gordon's Bay with its beach and marina is a short drive. Free on-site parking is available.
Services
Services include airport shuttle, concierge, daily housekeeping, laundry, luggage storage, and safety deposit box. Guests have free WiFi and access to a bar serving wine and champagne. The host Mario and his team provide personal attention and local tips. The guesthouse is adults-only.
“My recent exploration revealed a property where meticulous attention to detail defines every aspect, from the exquisitely appointed cottages to the tranquil, verdant gardens. The culinary experience, particularly breakfast, stands out as a remarkable showcase of fresh, locally sourced ingredients artfully prepared. It's clear that the host's dedication to anticipating guest needs fosters a truly exceptional, home-like retreat.”
